MusicMatch

How does MusicMatch work?

MusicMatch turns the search for a shared playlist into a two-player game: both players suggest, both players vote in secret, and the game reveals what truly deserves a place in common.

What happens during a session

Here is how a game unfolds, from room creation to the tracks that end up shaping the shared playlist.

The core idea

Each player suggests a track or an artist in turn.

The goal is to surface the overlap between two musical worlds in a playful way.

A round, step by step

  1. The first player suggests a track or artist.
  2. The second player does the same.
  3. Both players assign a token to each proposal without seeing the other vote.
  4. Results are revealed automatically as soon as both votes are submitted.
  5. The best-rated proposals feed the shared playlist.

How the shared playlist is built

  • In track mode, only proposals with two ratings of 3 or above reach the common selection.
  • In artist mode, the shared selection keeps artists rated highly by both players, then builds a playlist from their top songs.
  • The ranking pushes the clearest matches to the top.

Who is MusicMatch for?

  • Couples.
  • Friends comparing musical taste together.
  • Parties, road trips, or remote hangouts.
